AcupunCture

Acupuncture is an effective method of promoting the body's self-healing functions; naturally and without the use of medication.

WHAT TO EXPECT

At the first treatment, we are to talk about your symptoms, your wishes and what goals we set together for the treatment. You will be thoroughly examined, and here we use, among other things, your heart rate, your tongue and pressure on selected points on the body as important tools for assessing your body's imbalances.
Next, we put together the treatment combination that will best lead you to your goals.
In addition to the needle treatment itself, a treatment can consist of:
Moxa: Warming herbs to nourish and strengthen the body.
Cupping: Cups that are put on the skin and sucked in using negative pressure to increase blood and energy circulation and reduce inflammation.

For the first treatment, set aside 75 mins.
For the subsequent treatments, set aside 50 minutes.

Safe form of treatment

At Earth Klinik we ensures that you get treatment is performed with a high degree of security for your well-being and at the same time with respect for your personal boundaries.

Performed correctly, acupuncture is a safe form of treatment, and we only use completely thin sterile disposable needles to stimulate the body's acupuncture points.
Acupuncture and treatment here at the clinic should be something you feel like and look forward to.

The number of treatments depends on the duration and nature of the symptoms. However, you should be able to feel a change within the first 3-5 treatments, no matter what symptoms you have. Most often you notice a change and relief already after the first treatment.

ABOUT

I am Traditional Chinese Medicine registered practitioner. I studied my 3 years degree at Copenhagen and Aarhus Acupuncture School including subjects as Moxa, Cupping, Facial acupuncture, medical acupuncture, among others and meeting the authorized standard for the European Traditional Chinese Medicine Association

differences between TCM & Japanese Acupuncture

The Size of the Needles –Japanese needles tend to be a smaller and then Chinese needles and therefore; it can be seen as a more gentler, more superficial needling with less pain on the patient.

Depth of Insertion – Japanese needling is extremely gentle and superficial – meaning they only focus on the surface and just slightly under the surface of the skin, whereas Chinese needling fosters more depth of insertion.

I like to use both methods depending on the patient wishes and what can be considered a better approach. The purpose is to help the body to find the balance that for some reason has been lost.
